William Shakespeare was born in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. He is widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language.
Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway and had three children. He later moved to London to work as an actor and playwright.
Some of his most famous plays include Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, and Othello. He also wrote many sonnets.
